Saturday, May 14 returns the European Night of Museums, the initiative promoted by the Ministry of Culture and sponsored by UNESCO, the Council of Europe and ICOM, which takes place simultaneously throughout Europe with the aim of encouraging and promoting knowledge of national and European cultural heritage and identity.
The Regional Directorate of Campania Museums also this year participates in the event, now in its eighteenth edition, with the evening opening of museums and sites throughout the region at the symbolic cost of 1 euro - except for the gratuity required by law - which will be enriched by events and initiatives organized in collaboration with organizations and associations, in full compliance with current anti Covid regulations, to promote together the activities of the Institutes and promote knowledge of the museum heritage.
Guided tours of collections and exhibitions, concerts, artistic performances will be a shared opportunity to experience museums and cultural heritage in the evening, with an exceptionally extended schedule, participating in the scheduled initiatives.
All the initiatives, with information for visiting and participating in the events, are available in the section dedicated to the European Night of Museums of the MiC website (cultura.gov.it/evento/notteeuropeadeimusei-2022), on the institutional website of the Campania Regional Museums Directorate (musei.campania.beniculturali.it) and on the social channels of the museums, where you can follow and participate in the event with the hashtags #nottedeimusei #nuitesdesmusees.
