Starting from Wednesday May, 8 the Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea in Rome presents the ‘Artista alla GNAM’ project launched by ‘Emilio Isgrò: Protagonista 2024’. A new programme of ‘visiting artists’ designed with the formula ‘one year, one artist, one room’.

The initiative will offer the public the chance to interact with the protagonists of contemporary Italian art.

Emilio Isgrò is one of the most influential figures in the Italian culture. He was already celebrated at the GNAM with a major anthological exhibition in 2013 and his works are still part of the museum's collections. Isgrò has been selected for 2024 to mark the 60th anniversary of the 'Cancellatura', a radical artistic gesture that internationally revolutionised the language of art.
