MAECI Translation Call 2023, all the news

It is possible to apply for the Foreign Ministry's Awards and Contributions until May 5th.

From today the new call for Awards and Contributions to Translation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation is available at this link, which presents many innovations: first of all, the opening to literary agencies, which together with Italian and foreign publishing houses will be able to submit their applications, for the benefit of the foreign publishing house with which a contract for the assignment of rights has been signed or – another element of interest that the 2023 call puts Embossed – a letter of intent.

In addition, the 2023 call, in view of the 2024 edition of the Buchmesse in Frankfurt in which Italy will be a guest of honor, pays particular attention to the German language, given that translation into this language is considered, especially by virtue of this important international event, as a priority.

The new call for translations will expire on May 5th. As always, applications must be submitted through the Italian Cultural Institute competent for the territory in the country where the foreign publishing house that will publish the book in translation is based, or, in the absence of an IIC, at the Italian Embassy.
